    How does the system work?

    The Telguard Alert-Gaurd unit is designed to control remote equipment using your mobile or landline telephone and alert users of misuse, arrival of guests or unauthorised acticvity.

    Once your telephone number is programmed as an authorised user, you can call the Alert-guard or use the Commtel CONTROL App to operate the equipment it’s connected to. Depending on how the Alert-Guard is programmed it will either automatically perform a pre-defined action OR you can choose the operation it performs.

    Commtel 4G-LTE Alert Guard Entry Options

    Authorise Only – The unit recognises your telephone number as authorised and answers the call. You then press the default command on your telephone keypad (listed below) to operate the unit.

    Dial To Open – The unit recognises your telephone number as authroised, drops the call and activates the equipment.

    Answer Delay – The unit is programmed to ring for a determined amount of time. If you hang up before the unit answers a pre-defined action is performed. If you let the unit answer you can operate the unit as per the ‘Authorise Only’ method above.

    • Complete kit, optional 4G LTE SIM card* power supply and internal antenna (external antenna opt extra)
    • 4G LTE backwards compatible, allowing access across 4G, 3G, 2G networks
    • A Site Signal Network Test to be undertaken before installation(performance is reliant on continuous network coverage)
    • Antenna should be sited to optimise signal strength
    • Must not be installed in a damp location without additional protection
    • 900 Authorised numbers
    • 400 PIN Access Codes
    • Internal Time Clock x 9 time profiles allowing zone activities and over-rides

    Returns Policy

    Returns – You may cancel the contract at any time up to the end of 14 Calender days after you receive the goods, providing the goods have not been fitted or modified in any way and providing they are returned with the original packaging and providing the goods are in a resalable condition. To cancel the contract you must contact the Supplier in writing by Email or Post. Please note that you will be responsible for the safe return of the goods at your own expense.

    Goods returned as unsuitable will usually be changed for suitable ones, general returned goods are subject to a 15 – 20% restocking fee dependant on order value.

    The goods must be returned to the registered address of the Supplier via a trackable means and within 14 days of cancelation. Once the goods have been returned or for orders not dispatched, the Supplier will refund you within 30 days. If you fail to return the goods as required, the Supplier may charge you a sum not exceeding the direct costs of recovering the goods.
