Description

The latest 4G GSM audiokits with coded keypad are manufactured in the familiar modular 4000 series range with a 316 grade stainless steel matt finish. They are available from single call button applications up to 12 button kits (surface or flush), however is expandable up to 50 call buttons, all with the facility to divert to additional numbers if the first is busy or unanswered (up to 3 divert numbers per button). The 4G GSM intercom module is able to connect to 2G, 3G and 4G networks and is designed for global use.

The 4G GSM audiokits have all the original features of the previous GSM PRO series kits, however they now include new programming features. In addition to the existing 1000 dial to open numbers (with access levels) it can store up to 32 temporary dial to open numbers that are programmable from 1 – 255 hours. It also includes an automatic time correction feature (for when the 4G GSM is used in different time zones) and daylight saving time adjustments.

When the 4G GSM module is networked with the Art.4903 keypad it can be programmed remotely with up to 400 permanent access codes and 32 temporary codes (between 1 – 255 hrs after which time will automatically be deleted). When the keypad is not networked with the 4G GSM module and configured in standalone mode it will operate as a standard Videx keypad with 2 codes (1 code per relay). The keypad also includes blue back-lit button illumination.

The RS485 bus connectivity allows the 4G GSM module to be expanded to a networkable access control system (up to a total of 8 devices) which can include both proximity, using the new Art.4850R off board expansion reader, and coded access, using the new Art.4903 keypad.

Programming can be carried out by SMS text messaging, by using Videx’s smartphone Apps (the SMS Wizard for users or the SMS Wizard PRO for installers and engineers) both of which are available to download for free from Google Play (for android devices) or from the App Store (for iOS devices). Programming can also be carried out using the GSMSK PC software either connected via the micro USB port or RS485 bus or remotely via the new “over the air” feature (programming is still carried out using the PC software however the 4G GSM module is not physically connected to a PC directly by the micro USB port or RS485 bus).

An event log (up to 4000 stored events) is maintained within the 4G GSM module and can be downloaded via the USB port or RS485 bus connection using the PC software or can be viewed remotely and monitored in real time using the online web browser events application (the events can be viewed on any device such as a smartphone, tablet or PC).
